When I started out my photography business, my first paid session was a wedding. I had an amazing time with the family and I loved being part of that moment. My next session was a newborn. I had just as much fun. The problem with weddings and newborns is. They are so much work. They are stressful. There are so many "rules"
Newborns require a lot of safety and time. I am more than willing to put the time and effort into a newborn session. But after a year I knew it wasn't my forte. Don't even get me started on weddings. Once in a lifetime opportunity. It's great for the couple. RIP OUT YOUR HAIR for the photographer. You can't get home and look at the pictures and say, you know what I don't really like that picture, I am going to call that couple and see if they want to do a reshoot. And buddy if you don't know your camera, know your lighting, and know your posing, FORGETABOUTIT!
Seniors are amazing.
They are fun, outgoing, easy to please, easy to coach, easy to smile.
I am very much a kid at heart. I love video games, movies, music, memes. I get along great with seniors. I am almost a senior whisperer. HAHA!
I don't have to bribe them with snacks. They don't poop on me. ( I am a much better photographer than my first wedding) But if something happens they are more than willing to do the session over again. Sometimes it's too cold and it shows. Sometimes the wind was just too much.
Seniors. You Rock.
And you will always be my favorite subject!
